What is this community guide about?
This community guide is about the food options in our community,Rubi, Barcelona/Spain. In this guide, we will show the different options to buy food in our community. Then, we will explain the accessibility of these options and recommend ways to improve access to healthy food in our community. Availability
There are many food options in Rubi, many people can buy coffee or have breakfast on their way to work or school in the bars because they open early. Most restaurants are open in the afternoon for lunch and dinner. Many grocery stores and stalls are open late into the night. We buy nutritious food in greengrocers, grocery stores and supermarkets.
Cost (Plaza de Catalunya Rubí)
The casino square or Plaza Casino in Spanish, is a great location to relax next to a fountain, next to it an old casino undergoing renovations and the “Calle mayor”, but… What can it offer us in the food sense?
First, it should be noted that there is a lot of variety, from an elaborated and healthy dishes to eating a Frankfurt or a kebab. It can be said that one of the most visited is the "Catalunya Bar Restaurant", in which it is very common to order hot sandwiches, but of course they also offer more appetizing meals, this is, in general, most of the restaurants in the casino square.
The atmosphere at La Plaza Casino is very nice. If you go in the morning there will not be too many people, and it will be, generally a quiet place in which to have something to eat, on the other hand, if you go late in the day or directly at night, it will be kind of crowded, especially on weekends.
About the access to the casino square, it cannot be accessed directly by car or by public transport, since access to motorized big vehicles (cars, vans, motorcycles, etc) is prohibited, however, it can be easily accessed on foot, and it also allows easy access for disabled people.
Personally, I highly recommend going to eat at the casino square if you want to have a good time while you take the air, and enjoy the variety of foods that they can offer you.
