    Quizá porque en la universidad hoy no encontramos ya la casa del estudio, algunos de nosotros tenemos la tendencia a exiliarnos en nuestro cuarto de estudio para adiestrarnos en algunas de sus artes, como leer, escribir y meditar sobre lo leído. Cuando hablamos del estudio, nos ha parecido pertinente establecer una cierta distinción entre el aprender, hoy atravesada esta noción por una fuerte tendencia adquisitiva, y el estudiar, que tiene que ver con el mundo común. En su estudiar, el estudioso no puede, ni quiere, separarse de su objeto, que lo tiene hechizado y seducido. Podemos entender el estudio como una atención al mundo, como técnica o arte que busca perfeccionarse, como lugar y como una forma de vida. Pues bien, este texto pretende realizar una meditación sobre el lugar, o los lugares, del estudio, o dicho de otro modo, una reflexión, a la vez filosófica y literaria, sobre el cuarto de estudio, la casa en la casa, como el escritor Peter Handke la denomina.

    Perhaps because today in the university we no longer find the house of study, some of us have the tendency to exile in our study room to train ourselves in some of its arts, such as reading, writing and meditating on what we read. When we talk about study, it seems relevant to establish a certain distinction between learning —today this notion is crossed by a strong acquisitive tendency— and studying —which has to do with the common world. In his study, the scholar cannot, nor does he want to, separate himself from his object, which has bewitched and seduced him.

    We can understand the study as an attention to the world, as a technique or an art that seeks to improve itself, as a place and as a way of life. Therefore, this text intends to carry out a meditation on the place, or places, of study, or in other words, a reflection, both philosophical and literary, on the study room, the house in the house, as the writer Peter Handke calls it.
